Our funds: support when it is needed most

The Institute runs a number of charities specifically for the benefit of its members. If you find yourself in financial difficulties you will be able to call upon the charities to supply assistance when most needed.

The Institute’s charities have been providing financial assistance to its members and their families for more than 100 years.

With assets totalling more than £2.5 million, the Institute’s charities are there to help you and your family in times of need.  Our charities provide in excess of £40,000 in grants every year.

The CIoJ is the only organisation for journalists which offers such extensive charitable help when most needed.
