The Freelance AGM will now be held at 11.30am on Tuesday 22nd July at CIoJ HO.
After the AGM, we lunch at The Mayflower, a historic pub close to HO. Then it’s back to HO for two talks. CIoJ President, Paul Leighton, will take questions from the floor, and author/new committee member, Michael Evans, will describe how he made the move from freelance journalism into specialist writing and book publishing.
Do bring your input to our AGM – or talk with us informally afterwards – about matters that concern you as a freelancer. This will help us – your Committee – to plan events over the coming year.
Please note that all who attend the AGM are welcome to join us for lunch if they RSVP our Entertainment Officer, Hannah Valize.
To book a place for the AGM and lunch, and to facilitate post-AGM catering arrangements, please email: <firstname.lastname@example.org> The deadline for booking is 17 July.
The Freelance Committee will cover the cost of lunch and a round of drinks at the Mayflower, about 10 minutes’ walk from both Canada Water station and HO. (Extra drinks at the pub are to be paid for individually.)
After the AGM and lunch, the Institute will provide coffee, cake and wine back at HO so that members can socialise in a relaxed way, and enjoy the talks by Paul and Michael.
